Oregano essential oil (Origanum vulgare) is derived from the fragrant leaves of the oregano plant and is known for its intense, spicy-herbal aroma. It is used worldwide in cooking and can – when carefully dosed – be used as a food flavoring. For external use, always dilute with a carrier oil.

Cooking with Oregano

Essential oils are highly concentrated – even a minimal amount is sufficient. The toothpick method has proven effective: dip a toothpick into the bottle and then stir it into the food; carefully add more as needed.

• As a food flavoring, dilute 1 drop with 125 ml of liquid or oil/sauce
• Ideal for pasta sauces, marinades, soups, and savory dishes

Application (Aromatic & Topical)

• Aromatic: 3–4 drops in a diffuser
• Topical: For massage, mix 5 drops with approx. 10 ml of carrier oil; for a fragrant accent, dilute 1 drop with 10 drops of carrier oil

Safety Instructions

• Use diluted only; no more than 1 drop per day as a food flavoring
• Keep out of reach of children
• Avoid contact with eyes, inner ears, face, mucous membranes, and sensitive skin areas
• If pregnant, nursing, or under medical care, consult a physician before use
• If skin contact occurs, always dilute generously with carrier oil; patch test before first use
