Around 220 million years ago, there was an incomplete volcanic eruption in Bad Essen (Osnabrück region), through which parts of the original sea that was present there at the time were trapped between two rock layers at a depth of 800 m. Since then, it has been protected there from all environmental influences. A special feature of this water is its extremely high mineral content of 31.8%.

EMIKO^® Original Sea Salt is therefore not rock salt, which is dissolved by groundwater or other fresh water and then extracted and evaporated, but original seawater of healing water quality, which has been confirmed by an expert opinion from the Fresenius Institute. It is free from environmental pollution, does not require complex purification, and has a stable, consistent composition. All ingredients of the original sea can be transferred from the liquid into the crystalline state. This salt consists of only 91.5% NaCl; the rest are other minerals.

EMIKO^® Original Sea Salt Brine Spray is the hand-scooped original seawater from which EMIKO^® Original Sea Salt is produced. This brine is also informed with the positive resonances of EM^® through EM-X^® GOLD and EM-X^® Ceramics.
